2023 Economic Future Forum: U.S. & Non-Canadian Registration

2023 Economic Future Forum: U.S. & Non-Canadian Registration
Engage with your fellow colleagues as we explore Calgary’s current path to diversifying its robust economy. Consistently ranked as one of the best places in the world to live, Calgary boasts the highest GDP per capita of major Canadian cities, highest labor force participation, and highest average earnings. The city’s solid economic foundations are setting the stage for the creation of a community of lifelong learning and resilient people with skills needed to adapt to an ever-changing economy.  The theme for IEDC's 2023 Future Forum: Communities in Transition will focus on pursuing economic diversification and opportunity through the lens of economic transformation. Talent, Innovation, and Livability must work together and be interwoven with IDEA, collective action, and shared perspectives, to achieve long-term economic prosperity for all.

Description
Taza is an exceptional development undertaking, one of the most significant First Nation development projects in North America. It is located on 1,200 acres of Tsuut’ina land and consists of three individually unique but related development Villages — Taza Park, Taza Crossing, and Taza Exchange — integrated through a comprehensive framework of Tsuut’ina and Calgary infrastructure.  Each village expresses a distinct character, built around fundamental design principles and a shared guiding philosophy to create each development component — from textural elements and streetscapes to wayfinding, natural green spaces, and formal and informal public park areas. These developments will shape the future for Tsuut’ina, accumulating and building upon the Tsuut’ina people's legacy of determination and resiliency.
