COVID-19: Moving Money to the Streets

Thanks to the CARES Act, the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Program has been given an additional $5 billion outlay to address the effects of COVID-19. Like all CDBG funds, this allocation can be used to support economic development activities. Among other uses, communities can use CDBG funds to offer loans and grants to businesses, to develop infrastructure to support businesses, and to provide job training. This webinar will discuss how grantees can use CDBG funds on the ground to respond to the economic impacts of COVID-19, using examples and learnings from other natural disasters.
